Japan's Registration Dossier regarding Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, Japan was approved in 2020 by the General Assembly of Bureau International des Expositions. This was during the Covid-19 pandemic that ravaged the world, causing an unprecedented crisis for humanity.
The world faces new challenges as a result of the pandemic. These include the fragmentation of relationships between nations and peoples, the need for reconstruction of environments and different social systems, and changes to values and lifestyles. These situations require that we bring together the wisdom of the entire world to find quick solutions.
It is now a matter of reflection on Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai's theme, Designing Future Society for Our Lives. International community has made serious efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by 2030. These efforts are in keeping with Expo's significance.
SDGs are basically a collection of challenges that revolve around people. Collaboration is key to achieving these intertwined goals. It brings together people who want to create a better future, with better lives, and a sustainable natural world.
